I have always been a sucker for Valentine’s Day, but something about having kids makes it all the more loving and exciting! Creating special memories with my babies is so rewarding as a parent and I love seeing their sweet faces light up when my husband and I decorate and give them gifts.
This year we decorated our fire place on February first and created a sensory bin of Valentine’s Day goodies. My two and a half year old daughter has been having so much fun this month and loves sharing with her seven and a half month old baby brother and all of her friends when they come over. I put an xoxo blanket in, two different themed V-Day books for both of my kiddies, heart sunglasses, heart pop it key chains in a variety of colors and their favorite, pink and red silicone stretchy heart worms!
Both of my kids love balloons, so last week we did a little V-Day shoot with their best friends! Cuteness overload!!!!! Of course Mommy had to jump in some photos.
For Ryann’s school Valentine’s Day party today, I took one of her photos from the shoot and hung a pop it key chain from her hand. She was so excited to give them to all of her friends. Her teacher even just shared a photo of her putting them in each students Valentine bag.
Last night I decorated the kids doors, and they were so excited when they woke up and saw all of the colorful hearts. We gave Liam Valentine’s Ducky’s, which I did for Ryann’s first Valentine’s as well. Ryann is newly into necklaces, so I surprised her with a little diamond and gold R necklace. She was very excited and she is so sweet and appreciative when we give her gifts. My husband bought Ryann her third reserved white rose. I love this tradition and cannot wait until she is older and has a full row of them hanging in her room! She has a flower obsession!
